The British Overseas Voters Forum (BOVF) is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our policy groups and help drive meaningful change on key issues affecting our community. Your involvement can make a significant impact in ensuring that the voices of overseas voters are heard and that their concerns are addressed effectively.
Our Key Issues
- Frozen Pensions
Advocate for the unfreezing of UK state pensions for citizens living abroad to ensure they receive the same cost of living adjustments as those residing in the UK. - University Fees
Work on policies to address the challenges British citizens overseas face with university fees, ensuring fair access to higher education. - Spouse Visas
Contribute to efforts aimed at finding fairer immigration policies for British citizens married to non-UK spouses, facilitating easier reunification. - UK Bank Accounts
Help address issues related to the forced closure of UK bank accounts for overseas British citizens and work towards more accessible financial services. - Housing Loan Interest
Advocate for fairer interest rates on housing loans for British citizens living abroad, combating discriminatory practices. - Voting Mechanisms
Work on improving the voting process for overseas British citizens, addressing challenges with postal voting and proxy voting systems. - Overseas Constituencies
