On the 12th of December, Bruce Darrington, Chair of the BOVF, met John Cooper, Conservative MP for Dumfries and Galloway in Parliament for an extensive discussion. 

John certainly feels the pressure of being part of a small number of MPs who fulfil the duties of His Majesty’s opposition. 

He feels strongly that the frozen pensions, where pensioners are treated completely differently based on the country that they live in is completely unjustifiable. 

We expect his strong support on this issue, although we are pointing more towards John concentrating on being one of our MP champions on the Spousal Reunion issue
