Our Mission​
Our mission is to represent and advocate for British citizens residing abroad, ensuring their meaningful participation in the democratic process. ​

Through robust analysis, community building, and direct engagement with policymakers, we work to amplify the voices of overseas voters and address their unique needs and concerns. By fostering collaboration, awareness, and action, we aim to empower British expatriates to actively contribute to the future of their country and communities.

We strive for a world where distance does not diminish the voice of overseas voters but instead strengthens their connection to the UK, fostering a vibrant and inclusive democracy that represents all voices, regardless of location.

Our Paradigm

Through diligent analysis of the constituencies where our members are registered, we strive to understand their diverse needs and concerns. As our membership and supporter base expand, we harness the power of data to identify distinct cohorts within each constituency. This enables us to establish overseas ‘hamlets’ and ‘villages’, virtual communities representing the collective interests of overseas voters within the broader UK electoral landscape.

Upon identifying these groups, we engage directly with sitting Members of Parliament, providing them with invaluable insights into the priorities and perspectives of their overseas constituents. Through proactive dialogue and collaboration, we empower MPs to better understand and address the needs of British citizens living abroad, fostering meaningful representation and connection. We firmly believe that this systematic approach leverages the democratic process to its fullest potential, facilitating change and progress aligned with the goals of our community in relation to the BOVF Key Issues.

The BOVF operates on the principles of inclusivity, transparency, and democratic values. We believe in the fundamental right of all British citizens, regardless of residency, to participate in the democratic process and have their voices heard.
